Easter

Our Easter weekend was busy, busy, busy! We picked up Brad from work on Friday afternoon, hurried him home to pack and then took off over the mountains to Grandpa and Grandma Teuscher's to spend Easter with them and with a few of my siblings. Karlie was not too thrilled at the prospect of a 3 1/2 hour drive to Geneva but the scenic drive soon changed her mind. Along our drive we saw deer, antelope, buffalo, and a heard of elk. We stopped and got the noclers out (that's what Wy calls 'em) so that the kids could get an up close view of the elk and so that Brad could ascertain that one was indeed a bull with horns, not big mind you but with horns.
Saturday stared the festivities with all the girls having their hair done by Aunt Rachael. As the girls were getting the make overs and posing for their final shot two little boys begged and pleaded to have their hair curled and their pictures taken as well. Alas they didn't have enough hair to curl, nor were the fathers too excited to see their sons' hair curled, so the little guys settled for just having their picture taken. So handsome Rily and Wy!
The girls: Karlie, Lindsay, Kait, Whitney, Hannah, Ashlyn
Wyatt rocking in the little rocking chair that belonged to my mom when she was a little girl. My mom was sitting in her rocker and Wy sat down in the little rocker, held my mom's hand and they sat and rocked and talked while we boiled eggs to color.
It was fun to color the eggs, make the goodies, and visit with family. It was also special to remember the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for me and that because He lives that I too can gain eternal life and be with my family forever. Nothing means more to me than that and I am grateful for my family, the love we share and the time we spend together.
