After the parade on the 24th we headed over to IFA for the big Grand Opening. Besides signing up for all the great giveaways Brad signed Wyatt and his cousin Ryan up to ride a sheep. It was windy but the boys had a great time riding; Wy wanted to do it again.

Baby's first outing
The Car Show
July 3rd we went to the car show in Dutch John. Wyatt loved all the cars and tried so hard to climb up in them. At least we know he has some good taste when it comes to automobiles! Then after begging to ride the horses we let him take a turn down the gigantic slide instead. He and dad had a great time bouncing/sliding down together.

Introducing Conner T Patterson
July 16, 2009 at 5:54 pm Conner T Patterson made his appearance. He weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. Our day started at 5:00 am when I woke Brad up. He accidentally set his alarm for 5:30 instead of 4:30 so already we were off to a good start. We grabbed the suitcase and headed to the hospital in Roosevelt where they admitted me, got us in a room and began the process to get labor started. I was hoping for a quick labor and delivery like Wyatt's but Conner had different plans. So we watched tv, slept, slept, and waited for the big moment. Finally after 12 hours the planets aligned and we had a healthy baby boy. Grandma Teuscher brought Wyatt down on Friday to meet his new baby brother. He looked at mom's belly trying to find the baby and was a little confused for a minute but that soon left as he sat and held his baby Conner. He got to celebrate being a big brother with ice cream and cake brought in by the nurse. When it was time to leave he gave dad a hug, gave mom a hug and said he needed to take Conner home. Mom and dad are now second to the baby according to Wyatt.

Waiting on Baby
For those who are curious, no we have not had this baby...yet. Never fear I am working as hard as I can to kick him out! Thus far I have been bounced over any dirt road in sight, walked around countless stores, streets, and parks, offered various beverages that guarantee a baby but no luck yet. We will keep you all posted if you keep your fingers crossed for a baby this week!

The Teuscher Family Reunion (we should have built an Ark!)
This year Brad and I were in charge of the Teuscher Family reunion and we thought camping would be a great way to spend three days together as a family. What we didn't count on was the season of rain that would prevail all through the month of June and rain us out of our camp spot. However we are an enterprising family and we did a modified version of camping: three families spent the night in a hotel; one family slept on our living room floor; four kids sacked out on Wy's bedroom floor; my sister took the upstairs bed; and my mom, dad and younger sister slept in the camper parked next to our apartment complex. And that was just Friday! As you can see below we took up a lot of the space in the parking lot.
On Saturday, wouldn't you know it, the sun came out and it was a beautiful day. So with alternative plans we visited the Dinosaur museum and then spent the rest of the day playing and being lazy at the Naples Park. We played Volleyball, Badminton, Croquette; we had a water fight instigated by my niece Lindsay (she was the receiver of a bag of water over the head but really, it was her fault that the whole thing started); we played on the playground equipment and took naps in the shade. Overall it wasn't what we had planned but being together trumps any set plans and we had a ton of fun. Thanks to all who made the journey to Vernal to play!

My Baby grows up
My little guy is growing up. Not only can he put his own clothing in the laundry and actually get it in the right place he now loves to help sweep the floors, dust, make his bed, and sort of put his clean clothes away. He is turning into such a helper and I really appreciate that. He will be a big help when the baby finally arrives!
