For those who were wondering no the Pattersons did not fall off the planet. We did however pack up our humble belongings and move them a few miles to the outskirts of Vernal to our very own home. Yes, that is correct, we are now home owners once again complete with a house, 3 sheds, two horses and a dog. Let's hear it for the American Dream. Hey we even have the required 2 children - no .5 but close enough.
Our house is a little over 1800 sf and has three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and a bonus family room. We have a lovely front yard with pretty trees and soon to be thriving flower beds and a roomy back yard complete with fruit trees and a built in fire pit for late night hot dog roasting. Our deck/porch on the back has built in benches which I'm sure will get used as the weather turns warmer. The transition from apartment to home has been rather smooth minus one glitch: Brad and I fighting over how to use the cute little building in the back yard. I think it should be used as a guest room/play house; Brad thinks it should be turned into a man cave complete with exercise equipment and testosterone. So we compromised and turned it into a storage unit for now.
The horses have downsized from 5 roomy acres to roam to a tight fitting corral but they have been good sports about it. It is so nice to be able to run out in my slippers and pjs to throw them some hay rather than bundle up the kids for the 30 minute round trip to feed them which we've been doing for about a year. When Brad and his dad went to get the horses to bring them over to our new digs I got a text from our friend that said her 2 year old daughter was very upset that Brad had taken the horses as they were very happy at her house. I think she was on to something about them being happier over there.
Today was the one month mark for being in our house and while there are still boxes to unpack and pictures to hang I'm very happy to have this space we call home and look forward to paint swatches, curtain hunting, bathroom remodeling, lawn mowing, and partying in the back yard.

I don't know why you would want to move out of the apartment that has been your home for the past year and a half? That was a palace!
I am so glad to hear that you guys are loving your new digs. If I ever make it back to Vernal, I would love for my little Wyatt to show me around!
