Spirit Lake

Saturday found us headed to the mountains once again. This time Brad had found a new destination so instead of Red Cloud Loop we headed up to Spirit Lake. It was so worth the drive as the trees have begun the change from green to the glorious fall colors. My favorite was a stand of Quakies that were a ripe golden surrounded by the deep green pines - beautiful. I absolutely love fall just for the colors! The lake too was breath-taking blue and I told Brad I want to spend days just sitting there looking at the lake with the light breeze keeping things not too hot and not too cold. Wy kept himself busy by playing with a golf ball that he and Brad found in the camp ground. They played a game of 'Get it' for about twenty minutes. From there we headed back down to the Flaming Gorge Dam and had a great lunch. Wy ended the day in his new comfy long-john pjs.
