Thanks to Brad's friend Chris we had a chance to take a mini vacation to Burns, Oregon, for Chris' wedding. We left bright and way too early Wednesday April 22 and arrived in Burns just in time for Brad to change clothes and vehicles and drive 2 more hours to Bend for the bachelor party. We made a few stops along the way, one at Aunt Sheri's to drop off a bed and for Wy to run around a little. Brad grew up in Burns so we spent a day driving around while he showed us the sights. We drove out to Frenchglen and saw some pretty country and a lot of different birds. Wy made sure that we spent time in the pool and at the park too! Burns has a park with an awesome slide that made me a bit nervous due to the height but not Wy; he climbed all the way to the top by himself and made numerous trips down. He also took a turn on the teeter totter and the merry-go-round.
Saturday we spent the day with the wedding. Brad was the best man and Wy was one of the ring bearers. Both looked so handsome in their tuxes and both did a wonderful job. At the reception Wy cut a rug dancing until about 9:00pm when I took him over to a babysitter's so he could catch some zzzzzz's.
Sunday we were up bright and early ready to hit the road and head for Boise. We took a detour on the way out of town just to drive by the house where Brad's parents used to live. After a 3 hour drive we arrived at Aunt Sher's just in time for a delicious roast dinner. We got to see Tyler, Karli, Ashlyn, and Ryan which made Wy very happy. He was bit disappointed Monday morning when we told him he had to leave. However I think he was just as glad and Brad and I to get home Monday night. We had a great time on our vacation and loved seeing everyone!
