7 Days and counting

Today this is what the road conditions looked like when Brad contemplated leaving Sheridan, Wyoming (actually they looked much worse at 7:30 this morning than right now). This really quick trip to Williston, ND, has turned into a week long adventure for him. He left last Wednesday to drive to Grand Junction, CO, to pick up a pump and drive to ND - a planned two days up and two days back. Turns out he didn't leave Grand Junction with enough time to drive half way to Williston so he didn't get there until Friday morning where he planned to get the other pump, turn around and head back. But as we all know the best laid plans and such and so he spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Williston and was finally able to leave Monday just in time for the big storms and nasty weather. He had a really slow trip yesterday - maximum speed at times was 25 mph - and pulled into Sheridan where I90 was closed. And that is where he remains, hoping that he can leave tomorrow and make it home before Thursday when yet another storm is supposed to hit and make travel virtually impossible. Wyatt misses his dad and announces every morning when he awakes: Daddy home! And mom has to tell him once more that no, daddy isn't home but will be tomorrow, or the next tomorrow or the next.... Here's hoping for good weather and passable roads in the a.m.!

I hope that Brad gets home quickly for both yours and Wyatt's sakes! We know all to well what it is like to have Daddy gone for such a long time!
