The Big 2!

Conner T turned the big 2 on July 16 and what a busy day it was! He played as hard as a two year old can and took a nap with his favorite person in the whole world - his dad (luckily Brad's day off landed on this day!). After nap time and lunch time it was party time. This was the most unplanned, unprepared birthday party in the history of birthdays as I had just gotten home from the hospital with Lane the day before but due to my stubborn nature I was determined that Conner's day be fun-filled and thus we trekked to Naples Park for an impromptu birthday celebration. Conner was so excited just to be at the park he climbed out of the truck and marched right over to the slide not even paying attention to the cake and the pizza and the presents brightly if ever so slightly crappily wrapped.

Conner is a big fan of pizza and was soon covered in red pizza sauce and grease which added to the dust and dirt of the park.

Our friend Alisha and her kiddos Emerree, Kache, and Ruger and Grandma Trish joined our family along with Grandma Teuscher for presents and cake. Here Emerree and Wy help open the presents.

The cake was supposed to be a cowboy hat and you can kind of tell that's the shape from a distance. Note to self: don't try to make an elaborate cake one day post hospital :) It did taste good so that's a plus!

We are so happy to have such a vivacious little guy in our family! We love the way his mind works and the things he comes up with. He is his dad's and older brother's shadow; anything Wy can do Conner can too! He "pedals"his bike like Fred Flinstone which makes us laugh; he tries to ride Toby like he's a horse; he walks around wearing Wy's boots which are at least four sizes too big for him; he likes to watch Word World; he says 'alright' and 'got it?' when he's informing us of his activities; my mom taught him "cheers" including clinking the glass while she was here staying to help with our new baby; he loves to be outdoors.

At two years old he is 35" tall and weighs 25.3 lbs
